• The competition is open to anyone wishing to enter.
• The costume must not have been worn in the hallways. The Masquerade is the "unveiling" of your costume.
• Competition levels are Rising Star (12 years and less), Novice, Journeyman, and Master Costumer.
• We also have an Open Presentation category for those who wish only to show off their costuming skills.
• Masquerade Registration forms are available at the main Registration desk and at the Mandatory Meeting.
• All registration forms must be turned in by 5:00 pm Saturday May 24 to participate in the masquerade.
• Membership in and attendance at CONduit XVIII is required for participation.

• All participants who wish to be considered for awards must attend the Mandatory Masquerade Meeting (Saturday May 24 at noon).
• Costume may be from any genre.
• Costume must be no more than PG rated.
• Costume may not be purchased or rented.
• Presentations may be up to two minutes in length.
• Providing your own music is encouraged.
• Open Presentation participants will be provided lights and general music in order to show off their work.
• Entrant must include an email address in order to receive acknowledgment that his submission has been received.
• Entrant should retain a copy of his submission.

Masquerade Event

• Competition participants meet in the Green Room at 6:00 pm for Workmanship judging and final instructions.
• Open Presentation participants meet in the Green Room 6:30 for final instruction.
• Doors open at 7.
• Masquerade starts at 7:30 pm.
• Open Presentation will be first followed by the Competition.
• Stimulating entertainment takes place while the judges make their final decisions.
• Announcement of winners will be last.
• Seating for participants will be made available in the presentation area.
